Some weddings just feel like sunshine—and Lauren & Cole’s day at Highpoint Events and Suites was the perfect kickoff to summer. Full of joy, laughter, sage green tones, and rolling Kansas hills, their wedding was a beautiful blend of elegant simplicity and heartfelt celebration.
Although I (Paige Smith Photography) didn’t personally shoot this one, my incredible associate photographer Tatum led the day with so much care, creativity, and love. As a Kansas City wedding photographer, I’m proud to have a team that serves couples with the same intentionality and timeless style I’m known for.
Their Story
Lauren & Cole have been together since college, and their love has grown through seasons of life, change, and growth. On their wedding day, that journey was celebrated with the people who matter most—their closest family, longtime friends, and even their sweet pup (more on that below!).

Nestled in Pleasanton, KS, just outside Kansas City, Highpoint Events & Suites is a newer wedding venue with a clean, modern white exterior and a scenic landscape that makes outdoor ceremonies feel like something out of a movie. The venue features:

The toasts were filled with laughter and a few happy tears, and the cake moment was just as sweet as the couple themselves.

Golden hour delivered, and the portraits Tatum captured during sunset are truly magical—soft light, warm breeze, and pure joy on their faces.
🫧 A Whimsical Bubble Send-Off
Instead of a traditional exit, Lauren & Cole had a bubble send-off that felt like something out of a fairytale. The joy, the glow, and the bubbles made for the perfect ending to a perfect day.
